The Thames Barge Match 1895
A 12x10 negative. A distant port quarter view, taken from wide off the tsern, of the general cargo spritsail rigged topsail barge Ardeer (1895) underf sail in the Thames estuary during the 1895 Thames Barge Match. She has the number 8 flag on her forestay. Directly ahead of her is the Arthur (1895) with flag 11 on her forestay and to starboard of the Arthur (1895) is the Lord Moreton (1895). They are all running with their leeboards raised.
