Earl of St Vincent. Engraved by J Chapman
A bust-length portrait of John Jervis, Earl of St Vincent (1752–1820), in naval uniform with the star of the Order of the Bath and a union jack on a flagstaff behind his head. Lettered beneath the image with the title and publication details, ‘Earl of St. Vincent. / Engraved by J. Chapman. / Published by J. Robins & Co. London March 29, 1823.’ This portrait was engraved by John Chapman after John Keenan’s oil painting of 1801. The print was published by J. Robins & Co. on 29 March 1823. (Updated June 2019.)
