Astrolabe
Astrolabe, first point of Aries = 11.75 March. Symmetrical rete with quatrefoil and trefoil motifs and 42 named stars. Zoomorphic terminal on tropic of Capricorn. One plate adapted for England marked 52° Lond[on] and 53° Lincolnia. Four plates 38/37, 41/42, 45/49, 52/53. On the back is a degree scale in four quadrants, zodiac / calendar scale, shadow scale, and double unequal hour diagram. The shadow scale features 'I LOND', possibly a later addition.
