Nelson. Statue in Greenwich Hospital

Technique includes engraving. Engraved on steel. [This is probably an image of the plaster cast after Flaxman - one of four from the national monuments to Nelson and others in St Paul's - placed in the Vestibule of the Painted Hall about 1824-25, but which all were later disposed of, apparently when the Naval Gallery closed in the 1930s. This print (TBC) is probably a detached one from William Shoberl's 'A summer's day at Greenwich' guidebook (1840), which is in the Library. PvdM]
