Lord Hood
A bust-length portrait to left of Samuel Hood (1724–1816) in a hat and naval uniform. Lettered beneath the image with the title, ‘Lord Hood’. This print was published in London by William Bent on 31 May 1784. The publication line has been removed from this impression. The portrait may be loosely based on a painting by Benjamin West, which was engraved by William Angus for the European Magazine in 1782 (see PAI9670). (Updated May 2019.)
