Hand-coloured. A three-quarter-length portrait of Alexander Hood (1726–1814) in admiral’s undress uniform, 1787–1795, with the ribbon (mostly hidden under his coat) and star of the Order of the Bath and the Glorious First of June gold chain, extending his right arm in a pointing gesture. The print was published by Richard Bentley in 1836. (Updated May 2019.)
