Oroya (1886)

A 10x8 negative discarded in 1980 as the emulsion had completely peeled off. The image was a starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Oroya (1886) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, with yards on her foremast and with short funnels. She is flying the blue peter. Prior to the negative being discarded it had been printed and also photographed on 35 mm film (negative number 58/4371). The print is reasonable quality and could be scanned or otherwise copied.
