Dip needle, magnetic
Magnetic dip needle in a fitted case made of black shagreen lined with red velvet, with silver catches and hinges. The needle is made of steel and is furnished with a central pivoted and jewelled mounting, enabling the needle to show, simultaneously, the angles of magnetic declination and dip.
