t Eylandt Martinique

This view is found in ""Tooneel des oorlogs, opgerecht in de Vereenigde
Nederlanden; ..." published in four parts in 1675 by Lambert van den Bos.
There was also a German edition, "Schau-Platz des Krieges: aufgerichtet in den
Vereinigten Niederlanden: ..." . The print is found in both texts. The book
consists of a summary of the battles between the Dutch states and other
European powers between 1672 and 1678 (Third Anglo-Dutch War). The [Fort
Royal] Martinique view is found in the fourth part, between pages 290 and 291.
The fourth part has a date imprint of 1679. Fort Royal was unsuccesfully
attacked by Admiral Michiel de Ruyter in 1674.

The publisher of the work is "Bey J. von Meurs und J. von Someren". The book
is normally given a publishing date of 1675 since that is when the first part
was published.
