Print. Translation: "Representation of the bloody combat which took place on the 10th July between the Dutch and French fleets at Beachy on the English coast. No 1 denotes the French No 2 the Dutch ships. A.D. 1690. The French were commanded by Comte de Tourville with 82 vessels. The Dutch under Admiral Calemborg led the van of the United Dutch and English 56 vessels under Arthur Herbert, Earl of Torrington, who was tried for not supporting the Dutch but acquitted, though afterwards dismissed.
