She is dressed overall and some of her lifeboats have been launched - their blocks and tackle are hanging over the side of the ship. On the right in the foreground is a ship's lifeboat fully loaded with passengers and being towed behind a motor lifeboat which contains the photographer. The lifeboat is slightly out of focus.
