Screw tug Warrior (1895)

A 12x10 negative. A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the screw tug Warrior (1895) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Six of her crew are om deck. The stern of a wooden Scandinavian or Baltic barque named Alma is on the left. She has a deck cargo of timber. On the right are the bows of two square rigged ships at moorings. One of them has painted ports and her bowsprit is topped. The original glass plate negative has been broken and a half plate copy negative numbered A8571B was made in 1961 from a photographic print produced from the original negative in the 1950s before it was broken.
