The spritsail barge Majestic (1894)
A 12x10 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the spritsail barge Majestic (1894) under sail in the Thames Estuary during a Thames Barge Match. She is on the port tack and her race flag number 10 is attached to her forestay. Her crew are in their racing whites. The top of her mast and topsail are out of the picture. Another topsail barge is in the background. The original glass negative has been broken but a 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s from the original negative before it was damaged is available for scanning.
