The screw tug Expert (1892)

A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the screw tug Expert (1892) alongside the wall in Gravesend Canal Basin. she is berthed on the north side of the basin and is in immaculate condition. Her port anchor is not fitted. Eight of her crew are on deck looking at the photographer. The negative has been broken and discarded but a half plate copy negative number P8534 has been made from a 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s from the original negative before it was damaged.
