The screw tug Challenge (1884)
A 12x10 negative. A starboard very near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the screw tug Challenge (1884) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Her crew are on deck looking at the photographer. Tilbury is in the background. The negative has been broken and discarded and a half plate glass copy negative number P8536 has been made from a 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s from the original negative.
