Nestor (1868)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port very near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Nestor (1868) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary brigantine rig and is displaying her signal letters JMQH. Tilbury Fort is in the background and works are under way to strengthen the walls with earth banking.
