A whole plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Loch Ard (1873) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is well laden and is rigged with double topsails on all three masts, double topgallants of fore and main, a single topgallant on the mizzen and a single royal on the main. She has painted ports and the paddle tug Robert Bruce (1865) is alongside. Tilbury is in the background. This negative has been broken and discarded.
