Unidentified coss channel paddle steamer
A whole plate negative. A copy of an unsigned and undated painting of an unidentified cross channel paddle steamer under way at sea. She has two black topped buff funnels, one at each end of the machinery space forward and aft of the midships bridge which is between the paddle boxes. She has two masts, each with a gaff but no yards. Her foredeck is flat and clear of obstructions, including guard rails. She has four boats in davits, two per side, abreast the mainmast and her afterdeck is protected with a guard rail. There is one small structure on the after deck abaft the boats. The paddle boxes have narrow horizontal slats above the main sponson.
