Verona (1879)

A whole plate negative. A poor quality port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Verona (1879) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on her foremast, awnings are rigged aft and there are people in the foremast rigging. Tilbury is in the background. The original negative has been discarded but a 12x10 photographic print made from the original negative in the 1950s is available for scanning. Negatives numbers G2131 and G2134 were taken on the same occasion.
