A port broadside view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Aquitania (1914) at anchor off an unidentified coast, possibly in the Mediterranean. A group of small boats are off her broadside with some of the lifeboats having been launched (out of the picture) and the blocks and tackle left hanging. The photograph was taken from a boat looking back at the ship. The negative is very slightly out of focus and the horizon is not level. Negatives numbers P83410 to P83414 inclusive were taken in the same location.
The Aquitania was used for Mediterranean cruises from 1930 due to the Great Depression.
