Oneida (1855)
A whole plate negative. A port broadside view of the 3 masted ship rigged passenger/cargo vessel Oneida (1855) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, double topgallants and single royals. She is loaded down to her marks, a number of small boats are alongside and she has passengers on deck. Tilbury is in the background. The original negative has been discarded because of rapid deterioration. A 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s from the original negative prior to its deterioration is available for scanning.
