A starboard broadside view of the Cunard Line passenger liner and cruise ship Britannic (1930) at anchor, dressed overall.

A starboard broadside view of the Cunard Line passenger liner and cruise ship Britannia (1930) at anchor in an unknown location. The ship has been refitted; her main promenade has been enclosed and a radar tower is fitted to her forefunnel. An accommodation ladder is rigged at the starboard aft shell door and she is dressed overall. A ventilation windsail is rigged on the foredeck near the bridge, suggesting the ship is operating in a warm climate zone. The image is very slightly out of focus and there are signs of mould or mildew on the non-emulsion side of the negative. Negative number P83443 is a very similar view but is sharp and of better quality.

The negative is affected by mildew and appears to have been pinned at its corners which are holed.
