A starboard side view of the Cunard Line passenger liner and cruise ship Britannia (1930) at anchor in an unknown location.
A starboard near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Cunard Line passenger liner and cruise ship Britannia (1930) at anchor in an unknown location. The ship has been refitted; her main promenade deck has been enclosed and a radar tower is fitted to her forefunnel. An accommodation ladder is rigged at the starboard aft shell door and she is dressed overall. A ventilation windsail is rigged on the foredeck near the bridge, suggesting the ship is operating in a warm climate zone.
The negative has slight signs of mould or mildew on the emulsion side and appears to have been pinned at its corners which are holed.
