A port broadside view of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) just under way off an unknown coast.
A port broadside view of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) barely making way off an unknown coast. She is dressed overall and is flying a four flag signal hoist which appears to be her code letters KTGD. Her midships accommodation ladder is deployed and a motor launch is close alongside her hull. The negative is slightly out of focus.
The Caledonia began seasonal cruises from 1930 to September 1939 when she was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser and renamed HMS Scotstoun.
