Arcadia (1888)
A quarter plate negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Arcadia (1888) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is as built with three yards on each of her fore and main masts. Her mizzen gaff is lowered down to her boom and her superstructure is painted white. The Tilbury ferry Sir Walter Raleigh (1855) is alongside amidships. Tilbury is in the background. A Gould copy negative of a photographic print from a Gould negative that has not survived.
