A quarter plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the double hulled, double ended cross channel passenger ferry Castalia (1874) in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has small lifeboats forward and larger ones aft. Tilbury ferry pontoon and railway station are in the background. A copy of whole plate negative number G1691.
