Wreck of the 'Gothland' off the Isles of Scilly

Photographic print, Gibsons of Scilly Shipwreck Collection. This shows a detail of the torn keel of this Red Star Line ship, which ran on a rock in fog. The ship was on her way from Montreal with 84 passengers and 131 crew, and ran onto Gunnar Rocks. All passengers were saved. This photograph was taken by either Alexander or Herbert Gibson.
