Lincolnshire (1858)
A quarter plate negative. A port broadside view of the 3 masted barque rigged vessel Lincolnshire (1858) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails and single topgallants. She has painted ports and is flying the blue peter. A swim headed stumpy spritsail barge is alongside amidships. The bow of the tug Robert Bruce (1865) is on the right. Tilbury is in the background. The date 7/75 is scratched on the emulsion of the original negative but the Lincolnshire (1858) sailed from London for Melbourne in June 1875, leaving Plymouth 28 June 1875. A Gould copy of the Gould whole plate negative number G1582.
