Royal Standard (1863)
A quarter plate negative. A fair quality slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Royal Standard (1863) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants, single royals and a skysail on the main mast. Her accommodation ladder is fitted with a canvas dodger. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the right background and the Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 37 (1855) is drawn up on the shore in the left background. A Gould copy of the Gould whole plate negative number G1518.
