Wanganui (1877)
A quarter plate negative. A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from abaft the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Wanganui (1877) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals and has painted ports. A stumpy rigged spritsail barge is alongside her port side. Tilbury is in the background. A Gould copy of a Gould whole plate negative that has peeled off and been discarded. A 12x10 photographic print made from the original negative in the 1950s is available for scanning.
