Rothesay (1957)

A whole plate negative. On board the Royal Navy frigate Rothesay (1957) in the fitting out berth of Yarrow & Co Ltd at Scotstoun, Glasgow. In the UCSF2 Amplifier Compartment on the port side of 2 deck between the Main Signal Office and the Officers' WCs. The photographer is looking to port and forward from the doorway. On the left is the main amplifier cabinet manufactured by Kitson-Vickers Electrical Co Ltd. and a 115 volt distribution box is on the bulkhead on the right. A double height steel storage unit with sliding doors is in the corner above a bench. Under the bench is a drawer unit in which the top drawer has not been fitted. A vertical format negative.
