Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit

A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. Inside the main communications office on the starboard side of 2 deck between 32½ and 35 stations. The photographer is looking forward and to port showing the screen round the desk at Bay 8 in the foreground. A duplicator wrapped in polythene is on a bench beyond the screen. On the forward bulkhead in the background are Bays 1 and 2 with electronics above them. Next to Bay 2 are units labelled BID 150 No. 1 and BID 150 No. 2. On the right is teleprinter number 1 in Broadcast Bay 3.
