Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit
A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. This is said to be inside the senior rates recreation space on the port side of 2 deck between 16 and 18½ stations looking forward along the centre line from the doorway showing a cupboard unit with its top covered with ashtrays, paint tins with brushes in them, cups, water jugs, pans, a Nestle's Ideal Milk tin, a Horlicks jar and a tin of french polish. Beer mugs are hanging on hooks and an electric radiator is mounted on the inboard bulkhead. A hand written list with the negative originally identified this as 'Senior ratings WCs from door to port' but then amended the description to 'Senior ratings recreation space.' Admiralty Service Drawing Number 955655/2 of 2 certified 18/10/68 shows this space as being the senior rates WCs and the kit locker space.
