Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit
A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. Inside the C.C.R. (TX) on the port side of 2 deck between 28 and 31 stations looking inboard at the aft end of the compartment. Two electrical cabinets, one 440 volt and one 500 volt, are on the inboard bulkhead. A workbench is against the aft bulkhead on the right and a briefcase is on it. Attached to the ventilation trunking is a board with control valves for portable compressors. The meaning of the initials C.C.R. is not known but (TX) almost certainly refers to transmission. The plans in the Admiralty collection use these initials instead of words.
