Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit
A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. Inside the C.C.R. (TX) on the port side of 2 deck between 28 and 31 stations looking outboard at the forward end of the compartment. Stacks of electrical cabinets line both sides and four of the stacks are identified as Transmitter 640 No. 1 to Transmitter 640 No. 4. A radiator and a ventilation fan are on the hull side. The meaning of the initials C.C.R. is not known but (TX) almost certainly refers to transmission. The plans in the Admiralty collection use these initials instead of words. A vertical format image.
