Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit
A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. Inside the senior rates' mess on the starboard side of 2 deck between stations 61½ and 67. The photographer is on the starboard side of the mess looking aft showing two racks of bunks. A Thermotank ventilation unit and a radiator are on the aft bulkhead and between them is the access hatch into the adjoining fan compartment. On the Admiralty service drawing number 955655/2 of 2, certified 18/10/68 this compartment is designated as the C.P.O.s' mess.
