A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is looking forward and slightly to port from the starboard side of the stern on 2 deck. An awning is rigged over the stern. Four items of equipment are covered: on the left is the type 182 electric hydraulic powered cable reel, in the centre is the mooring pendant reel and on the right is the Unifoxer winch with two liferafts beyond them. Beyond the open hatch is the 8 inch nylon towing hawser reel.
