Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit

A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is looking forward and slightly to starboard from the port side of the stern on 2 deck. An awning is rigged over the stern. Four items of equipment are covered: on the left is the type 182 electric hydraulic powered cable reel, in the centre by the open hatch is the mooring pendant reel and on the right is the Unifoxer winch. Two liferafts are beyond the open hatch and mooring pendant reel. Forward of the open hatch is the 8 inch nylon towing hawser reel. In the left foreground are the mounts for two towed bodies and one of these units is in place.
