Yarmouth (1959) as fitted after refit
A 2¾ x 2¼ film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the South-West Wall in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is looking forward from the starboard side of 02 deck on top of the shipwright's workshop. In the left foreground are the guard rails round part of the emergency conning position. The ship's funnel dominates the left side of the image. On the right is a 27 feet motor whaler in its davits, a single 20 mm oerlikon gun, a 3 inch Mark 4 Knebworth-Corvus rocket launcher and a 2 inch rocket flare launcher. The United States Navy destroyer Manley (1956) is berthed alongside North Corner Jetty just ahead of the Yarmouth.
