Yarmouth (1959) keel laying
A 3¼x4¼ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The first prefabricated section of the keel, from stations 53 to 58, is being lowered onto the berth. The photographer is on the port side of the berth looking slightly aft and to starboard. On the adjoining berth in the background the tanker Lincoln (1958), yard number 707, is under construction. The bottom left corner of the negative is cracked and repaired with tape.
