Yarmouth (1959) under construction
A 3½x4¾ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The first prefabricated section of the keel, from stations 53 to 58, is on the building blocks on the berth. The section is supported on timber struts. The photographer is on the port side of the berth looking forward and to starboard. On the adjoining berth in the background is the tanker Lincoln (1958), yard number 707, under construction.
