A 4x5¼ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is to port of the berth looking aft and to starboard showing prefabricated sections of the keel and lower hull on the building blocks on the berth. The sections 36 to 75 are in place and supported on timber struts. The section 36 to 41 has been partly plated, the watertight bulkhead at station 49 is in place but the hull plating to stations 42 to 53 has not yet been extended upwards. On the adjoining berth in the background is the tanker Lincoln (1958), yard number 707, under construction.
