Yarmouth (1959) under construction.

A 3¼x4¼ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is to port of the berth looking aft and to starboard showing prefabricated sections of the keel and lower hull on the building blocks on the berth. The sections 36 to 75 are in place and supported on timber struts. The section 36 to 41 has been partly plated and the bulkheads at stations 49, 62½ and 75 are in place. The side plating at stations 42 to 45 has been extended upwards to number 1 deck level. A man is working on the prefabricated section of hull plating for the starboard stations 36 to 41 on the right near the base of the crane. On the adjoining berth in the background is the tanker Lincoln (1958), yard number 707, under construction.
