Yarmouth (1959) under construction.

A 3¼x4¼ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is on a crane to port of the berth looking down, forward and to starboard showing prefabricated sections of the keel and lower hull on the building blocks on the berth. The sections 29½ to 75 are in place and supported on timber struts. The section 36 to 41 still has a strake of plating missing. Additional side plating sections amidships have been fitted to number 1 deck level and a small section of number 2 deck plating has been fitted at stations 42 to 46. Two A brackets are on the ground at the base of the crane. On the adjoining berth in the background is the tanker Lincoln (1958), yard number 707, under construction.
