Yarmouth (1959) under construction.
A 3¼x4¼ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is to starboard of the end of the adjoining berth looking forward and to port. The hull from station 2½ to the stern is almost complete except that the side plating from stations 2½ to 7 on the port side and from stations 2½ to 15 on the starboard side is only up to number 4 deck level. Scaffolding has been erected outside the hull from station 5 aft. On the berth in the foreground are the first bottom plates of the cargo liner Clan Macindoe (1959), yard number 712, whose keel was laid 30 September 1958. On the berth in the background is the hull of the tanker British Judge (1959), yard number 705.
