Yarmouth (1959) under construction.
A 3½x4¾ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is to starboard of the head of the adjoining berth looking aft and to port. The hull from station 2½ to the stern is almost complete except that the side plating from stations 2½ to 7 on the port side and from stations 2½ to 15 on the starboard side is only up to number 4 deck level. The front and side plating for number 01 deck between stations 27½ and 41 has been fitted. Scaffolding has been erected outside the hull from station 5 aft. Her bow is just out of the picture. On the berth in the foreground is the bottom plating of the cargo liner Clan Macindoe (1959), yard number 712. In the background is the hull of the tanker British Judge (1959), yard number 705.
