A 2¼ square roll film negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. The photographer is on a crane at end of the adjoining berth looking down, forward and to port. The hull and deck plating from station 2½ to the stern is complete. The front, side and part of the aft plating for number 01 deck between stations 27½ and 41 has been fitted. Scaffolding has been erected outside the hull from station 2 aft. On the berth on the right is the bottom plating of the cargo liner Clan Macindoe (1959), yard number 712. The berth of the left is vacant, having seen the tanker British Judge (1959) launched from it on 11 December 1958.
