A formal portrait of three guests standing by the launch platform on the day of the launch of the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) from her building berth in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. On the left of the picture, wearing a burberry and holding his trilby hat, is Sir James McFadyen McNeill, the Managing Director of the Clydebank works. The woman is wearing a fur coat and the other man is wearing an overcoat and a bowler hat.
