Yarmouth (1959) on launch day.

A 2¼ square roll film negative. A small family group of three unidentified guests standing in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank, prior to attending the naming and launching the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959). The three female guests may be a mother, daughter and grandmother. The small girl later presented the ship's sponsor, Mrs Maureen Catherine Allan, with a bouquet of carnations and freesias on the launch platform. In the background is the cargo liner Clan Macindoe (1959) on its building berth. See also negatives numbers N66168 and N66169.
