Mrs Maureen Catherine Allan standing with her husband Robert Alexander Allan DSO OBE MP, Lord Aberconway and three other people in the yard after the launch of the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) from her building berth in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. Mrs Allan is the ship's sponsor and is holding a bouquet of carnations and freesias. Between her and her husband is Lord Aberconway who is wearing a suit and company tie and is holding an umbrella. On the right are a man and two women, one of whom is wearing a fur coat.
